A new wildlife film from the authors of the popular Wild Prague®.
The most common of water surfaces you can imagine. Hardly visible on maps and easily missed from the road. Following the carp harvest in the autumn it‘s as if all life had come to a halt here. But, nonetheless, it‘s a place full of adventure, struggle for survival, ritual dances as well as attentive care of offspring. We invite you to a pond where you‘ll discover a world of its own. Water shrew (Neomis fodiens) is a hairy south Bohemian shark which hunts insects using poison.Water spider (Argyroneta aquatica) is a spidery Captain Nemo who builds a submarine
under water in which he is able to breathe. And a male mole cricket (Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa) is like a cricket linked by a devious sound engineer to an underground amplifier. Can a female really fall for this? When a herd of wild boar approach like the Horsemen of the Apocalypse every creature prefers to stay out of the way. And no-one is friends with the carp here. Although it ́s not his fault but thanks to him the water is impenetrable and predatory fish are missing. But perhaps that will all change soon. Man is trying to repair the damage he caused earlier. Will he succeed?
